New BSNL SIm

Hi friends,

I am in Punjab Circle, I am thinking of trying BSNL 3 g for data services.
Will I need to buy 3 G or i can buy 2 G sim and avail 3 g services on it ?

I am not going to buy any 3 G USB modem, as my phone would do. I am confused whether i would need to buy 3 g sim or 2 g SIM.
ALso is FRC of 120 which gives 7 day unlimited net still open ? as i cant see on punjab BSNL site.

Get a BSNL 3G SIM for 59 INR and do a 120 FRC. 7 day UL offer still exists with all FRCs.

There is no shortage of 3G SIM in Punjab so better off with new 3G USIM @ Rs 59. The 120 FRC will give 7 days UL 3G, offer valid until 29th Jan 2011. These days, you can also avail BSNL 3G services on 2G SIM.

Get the bsnl 3G sim for rs 59 + rs 58 FRC and you will get one week unlimited download+ rs 25 balance+Lifetime validity+50 ps/min std and local.

I got a new sim today in Ahmedabad for Rs 100 and got balance Rs 150. How do I know if it is a 2G sim or 3G sim?

can you tell me how to activate rs 98 per month 2gb gprs plan?

Also if the sim is 3G, does it mean you can't activate normal gprs plan on it and will have to activate 3G plan only?

yes on a 3g sim no 2g plans

also if u switch from a 2g sim to a 3g plan via recharge of 1 buck, you lose all access to 2g plans

GO to any reseller stocking bsnl and ask him to do the internet RECHARGE not topup
