ADD a new catagory under the forum - 'Trouble-shoot'
and the auto-prefix will be 'HELP:' or 'HLP:' (like 'FS' or 'WTB' or 'GO' etc)
and there will be a BUTTON saying 'Problem Solved', that any be clicked only by the Owner of the THREAD.
Yes, it is same as the CLOSE thread option for MOD, but it any be used also by the Owner of the THREAD.
The difference is, he have to explain - how the problem solved before he can click it.

i dont think the trouble shoot section is really needed ...but the "help" prefix can be made available for all the hardware forums.

lets c wht the mods say.

there are so many troubles by so many TEs, so why not make a new section or a sub-section under the HARDWARE.

^there was a trouble shootin section..

but what happened was most of them didnt use that section properly..they used to post it in the app section/gpu section/game section etc...the later makes more sense instead of making a seperate category//

altough i vote for a prefix for trouble shooting..:|

About Help -> 'HLP' prefix - can be done. But it should be used by everyone else would lose its purpose.

About dedicated troubleshoot section, we did have one. Due to lack of support and our understanding that issues could be resolved faster and responses are better if they are posted in their respective sections - so it was taken out.

Hence, for all your troubleshooting queries post it in the respective sections.

Here is the main problem, sometime it is the problem to identify where the problem is ?

hope you also faced that type of problem too. :)

iosoft is rite.. it should be seperate and should be general.. ie. for h/w s/w everything... no point havin h/w and s/w seperate...
that way it`ll be easier to post probs.. and easier for ppl to solve them...
i think its a good idea.. and should be implemented...

If everything is together its mess.

We had that section and all questions were going unanswered there. Trust me it wasent good.

If you have GPU related issue post in GFX card section.

If you cant figure out what the hell is going on in your pc post it in more active of all hardware sections like Peripheral or cpu/mobo.

These sections are active and someone will notice your thread.

The thing is, this way your thread is noticed by everyone and you never know who can solve your problem. People may not go and look through the troubleshoot section just to see if anyone is having problem and if they can solve it ;)
