What about Bravia as Monitor!!!

Not a good idea. A Monitor may make an ok LCD TV with a TV Tuner, but an LCD TV of that size makes a lousy monitor. The resolution is too low (1366 x 768). Its may be good for gaming, but not very practical when using other applications. So unless your sole purpose of the rig is gaming, don't consider using a TV as a monitor.

Y not Q6600?!

Y E8400?!

Let me know this in detalis and alsoa aabout availabilty and pricing of E8400 in india!

I would have suggested Quads sometime back, but 45mn Quads are around the corner and the currently available 8xxx series 45nm Duo's are clocked very decently and with some overclocking, do 4.2 GHz+ without much effort and the current games do not make full use of Quads. So for the time being the 8xxx series makes more sense.

You'll need more GPUs to make full use of that 26" screen.

He is talking about a 26" TV, not a monitor. That monitor has a resolution of 1366 x 768. Even a decent mid range card can handle 720p for most games.

E8400

45 nm chip

3.0 ghz

1333 FSB

code name :wolfdale.

market price:9.5k (for prices checkout the dealers paradise)

mobo best is IP-35E from ABIT, check out for compatibility

Get a 24" Dell for ~20k. 2" less but more or less HD 1080 at 1920x1200. I don't think I can stand 1366x768 on a 26" TV screen for desktop use. That kind of resolution would be suitable for a 17" screen.

Actually 26 or for that matter even 32inch TVs are sharp enough for desktop use.

If you dont have to work on balance sheets or large images, these makes excellent replacement monitors for movies, gaming and web browsing.

All you need to do is make sure you run monitor at 1360x768 or 1368x768 resolution instead of 1366x768.

You loose 2 pixel rows but it does not matter. With these 2 resolutions, all the blurryness of the screen goes away. Windows needs a resolution thats divisible by 4 for proper text.

Q6600 wont compare to an E8400 if u're into gaming... Even the E6850 is better than Q6600 fer tat..

Its not a native Q-core, jus 2 E6600 dies in one chip..

E8400's price would be close to 9.5k!!! :)

And as someone already suggested get a DELL 22" or 24"... With an HDMI in, u can plug it to a PS3, DVD player...
