I found following

Core 2 duo
Intel E4300 Conroe - 1.8 GHz 800MHz,2 MB,LGA-----5100

Dual core
Intel - 820 P4-LGA 3.0 GHz 800MHz, 4MB,LGA----3900

There is not much diff of cost but aint Dual core config better?? Then why is core 2 duo more expensive?

get the E4300 : 5050 (I guess he's talking about E6320)

Intel 965- 5600 (dunno abt the price, seems right)

sata 250GB- 2900 OK...make sure u get a Seagate or Hitatchi

TFT viewsonic 17"- 9050 (this can't be right, 17" VS is around 8300 IIRC, and 19" VS 1930 is 10.5k)

Cabinet -1300 OK

mouselogitech optical- 500 (i think it was 350 or 400)

kingston 1GB- 2400 (NOT right at all, get Kingston/Transcend DDR2 667 Mhz) for around 2k and 1.85k (latest delhi prices)

AMC @ 2500 :rofl: is he kidding, these days they provide AMC for 1000-1500

Intel 865 WONT work with C2D

BTW, where do you live, so that we can recommend a proper Hardware shop around u?
 
Ya i thought so. Coz last time i enquired him abt a laptop and his rate was even higher thn showroom...lol...Well i am putting up at pitampura its in north delhi and i have my office at chandani chowk. Please bro i will be very greatful if u tell me some good hardware shop here.

Oh okay pentium d and dula core one and the samething...Okay i didnt knew this. Man I feel so illitrate. LOL.
 
Pentium D is already EOL I think . thats why you find they are cheaper than Core2Duo . plus c2d is Intel's current offering so prices will be more.

go with E4300 if you want value-based processor. and get a good motherboard for overclocking.

@somebody, lol m in Pitampura too m8 :D Go to Wazirpur Industrial Area and get the Rig from Crux Computers, relaible shop (they are north Delhi distris for AMD...lol)

prices are very good. amc are usually for 1250 to 1500 rs. its no engineering to set it up at home. just fit what wires in the place they go, matching the colors for the mouse n keyboard and your done. get any 1k cabinet zebronics being very decent .

Get the 400w powersafe for 1.5k or the better 380w cooler master for 1.75

you will need the keyboard get the samsung pleomax mouse choose the microsoft or logitech what you kind good in your hands.

and better to get the CM 380W, but I don't think you'll be able to get quality SMPS at Wazirpur, Generic is ok too as long as you dont have a seperate GPU..so no worries
 
@deepak..Well I got the rates from Crux So i dont feel the need to go there jst to enquire abt prices of cabinet and smps..So i guess. I'll call tht local vendor to install the Pc at my place coz diff of price is not tht much except LCD screen. Hence I may get Lcd frm wazirpur. So if i go there tht will be in two days. I put up near pitampura club, near sanik vihar what abt you? I'll PM you my number sms me urs..we'll stay iin tch..Thanks a lot..

Hehe, i wasn't telling about enquiring prices, thot u were getting the rig from Wazirpur

Anyway aren't pitampura club and sainik vihar conflicting, cause pitampura club would be near tv tower which is where I live (not the TV tower :p, though I'd love too, view from the top is awesome :D)

LOL yeah i managed to PM. No The club you are talking abt is actually pitampura sports club. I am talking abt Pitampura club where they have restaurants and swimming pool. Its opposite appeejay school, near tht mall wedding souk.

Well i dont mind buying rig frm crux but diffrence of rate is not that huge that I should change my regular computer guy. Besides this guy is used to hearing scoldings frm me every now and then. LOL . So dont mind paying a bit extra. Crux ppl wont give a damn abt me.I will post the final config in next post. Let me knw if there should be any change. thanks all :hap2:

there is nothing as the e4399 afaik , must be the e4300 or the e4400, since you dont plan to OC get the E4400 .

whats the budget for the cabinet ? if ard 2k get the zebronics antibiotic looks cool transparent side panel lights etc. should be ard 1.6 - 2k . sms get the cooler master 380w , or the power safe 400w.

GET THE LG DVD RW dont even think abt samsung very bad dirve according to me.

LG H42N or else the lite on drives are also good.
 
m sorry i meant E4300 only. What do you mean by OC?

And DVD RW M going for sony long trusted brand
CAbinet and Smps are of Intex(with digital temp gauge). i think thts a decent company. what say?
