This feedback is about the desktop experience and I'm using a 24.5-inch monitor.
@Renegade, is adding the old default theme back as an option possible? I am not sure if it was called Xenforo default. The new light theme seems to have a high contrast, and it doesn't feel easy on the eyes for me. The "Toggle Width" option helped reduce the width since the default width in the new theme was very wide, increasing eye movement and also the distance the mouse would have to travel for key actions.
I'll probably switch to the "Old Light" theme that's an option since it feels better as of now. Also, this is just my opinion and others obviously may not feel this way.

The new theme is awful. So much unnecessary padding, wasting valuable screen estate. Seriously guys. You are not Google. The cyclical Make it-break it tactics need not apply to you.

The new theme has a refreshingly modern feeling. The old stuff now feels like it was something out of a 80s magazine.

TE light feels too bright. I do not like dark themes. The Xenforo default was more to my liking. Please make the background a subtle shade of grey if possible.
Also, the entire right half of the screen is almost blank. Can some info about the thread be shifted to that side?

I thought the new Light theme was too bright too until I started using it. Have been using it for over a week now and it seems fine.
It takes time to process change, some may not be receptive to it and its OK till it is possible.
Not making any changes to any theme as that is too much work.
The old Default theme was disabled temporarily for a few hours so that users can try out the new themes. Its back on.
