New head unit for car audio system...

Hey guys. I'm planning to upgrade the head unit of my car audio system. I need something that can play MP3/WMA and it should have USB support. I'm not really an audiophile, so keep that in mind before suggesting something real fancy and pricey! :ohyeah: Oh, and I'm hoping to get this done in around 6 or 7k if possible. Any suggestions?? I'm totally clueless about car audio so any help would be much appreciated!
 
Pioneer 6950 will cost around 6-7k in the grey..but it doesnt support direct USB play(u need to buy some extra connector )

Pioneer 7950 UB is the one in which u can directly plug in a USB device..but it will cost approx 9-10k in the grey..and much more officially..(approx13-14k)

other than the USB thing theres not much difference between the two...

so if u really want USB get the 7950 or else 6950 ...

by da way i had bought the 6950 for 7k few months back for my swift as i had already crossed my budget due to the amps/speakers :P
 
Pioneer 7950 was being sold at 5.3 k at opera house
and Pioneer 6950 was for 3.9 k this as AUX in
but dident buy these... i coud not fig out whick SPK are original which are not
**** no system is better than having a crap one :P
 
+1 for 7950 any day.... though if budget is an problem do give a try to JVC headsets, cheap and good enough to handle things.
 
JVC 2-din starts from 8-9 K, don't even think of any chinese-tawainese 2 din headset.

Apart from it no other option is available in the price range. What is your budget by-the-way ?
 
Will be about 15K ish including speakers, planning to buy the i10 next month.. I guess Pioneer too had some double din units too?

If your budget is 15k for the entire In Car Entertainment, stick to Single din pioneer ones. Get a componant speaker for the front and a coaxail for the rear from JBL. (If you buy everything in grey, you will get them for about 15k).
Later you can add an amp and sub when you have budget.
 
How about Kenwood, Blaupunkt or Alpine or something?? Or would all of those be too pricey??
