There are many rumors about the iPhone 5 making rounds , but there is very little info about the next gen iPods which are expected to be unveiled along with the next iPhone at Sep 12th event . Now we have some rumors about the changes in the next gen iPods .
According to Rene Ritchie at iMore , the next generation iPod touch will feature a 4 inch screen with 16:9 aspect ratio , similar to the iPhone 5's display . Its not clear that whether it will be exact same display .
9to5Mac reports that the entry level iPod touch will retain the 4th gen design and tweaked configuration . While the higher priced models will have refreshed design .
As for the iPod Shuffle , which comes around $49 price point , 9to5Mac says that the changes will be minor . It will now be offered in 8 colors up from currently offered 5 colors .
Colorful banners were spotted at the launch event venue which further suggests about the launch of multicolored iPod nanos .
The iPod nano which had small watch-like form factor is now rumored to have new taller design and will be offered in 8 colors as well like the Shuffle .
