New laptop requirement:35k

My deskop PC is not working for last 4-5 days. So, I am looking forward to buy new PC (desktop or laptop).
My father has agreed for 35k budget for the same. ( if can get for less, better )

What's your Budget?

What will be your primary usage for the notebook be?
Desktop Processing,HTPC, Download rig, and Watching HD movies.

What size and weight considerations do you have?
15.6" screen

Any brand that you prefer, or any brand that you detest?
Dell/ HP

Any other considerations?
Would prefer i5 or equivelent AMD processor. Generally looking for the best I can get in my budget, and that can be used for next 6-7 years atlest.

Any offer from company or any electronic show room in Delhi/ Noida? Any onw who can help with discount...

Get the new Dell Inspiron 15R with 2nd gen Intel Core processor. Since they have USB 3.0 ports too it would come in handy

No i5 equipped Inspiron within 35k. Look at Lenovo Z570 with core i5 2410M or HP Pavilion G6 Series G6-1017TU (core i5 2410m,again) These two do not feature any discrete GPU though. You can look at Asus A53 A53SJ if you want core i5 2410m + Nvidia 1GB 520M.

It does not specify if it is 1st or 2nd gen i5...I hope I will be able to install win 7 on my on later on.

Yes that's a very good deal if it is i5 for 30k.

Apart from USB 2.0 and graphic cards is there any other feature in which it lacks when we compare it with dell model (http://configure.ap.dell.com/dellst...el_id=inspiron-15r-n5110&link_number=17967581)

We can add ram to make it 4 GB and can install windows on our own.

Will it be ok for multiple browsing/ chatting, Desktop Processing,HTPC, Download rig, and Watching HD movies.
