I'd like a laptop that's robust and lasts long. I had a Lenovo SL400c and the screen got spoilt pretty fast, but apart from that it was fairly rugged. Currently I'm on a Compaq Presario CQ62 and the screen has gotten spoilt on this too (the whole thing becomes white in most orientations).
My usage is primarily basic computer usage (internet, entertainment etc.) but maybe I would like to throw in a basic graphics card (not intel onboard, preferably something by nVidia or ATI) for causal gaming. Also, given the price range it should have as many features as possible. I was thinking of the Samsung NP300E5C-S01 but I got to know that it has no USB 3.0 ports. Again, I'd like my laptop to be robust. So give me some suggestions. Try to keep the price <=45k.
Also, what's the deal with Blu-ray readers and writers? Do you get them only on really expensive laptops?
