PC Peripherals New Luminous UPS backup time ??

Hii frnds .. i jst purchased a new Luminous Vista 600VA UPS for Rs.1750/- ...... but it is giving only 6 mins of backup time :huh: .... my config is:

Athlon 5400+x2 (2.8Ghz, 65W)
Asus M3A78-EM 780G chipset
Kingston 2*1GB DDR2 800MHz
Leadtek 9600GT 512MB GDDR3 (power efficient model)
Seagate 250GB
Moserbear DVD RW
Zeb 500W platinum psu

Also dis 6 min of backup time is given when my pc is completely idle and procy running only at 984MHz (using cool n quiet technology).

pls tell whether da backup time is ok or not ?? (considering my config)

what is the size of monitor ,CRT or LCD.normally they have 15-17Mints backup times.

oh sorry .. i forgot to mention dat I've a Samsung 17" CRT

CRT`s are power hoggers. i hardly get 2 mins with monitor on ( 1.5 yr old ups )

do one thing, turn on your PC with OS & play some movies on loop,then turn off your CRT and mains power to check the UPS backup time & note down the time when the PC goes off (UPS cut off time on invertor mode).!
