Market Feedback New Members Joining Te Just For Getting Trade Benefit

Hello ,

I Am not sure but i would like to get into the knowledge of the admins and mods here that people with ZEROOOOOOOO post count are buying material from this section ,This means they are just joining TE for Buying Material ,There should be some rules to this that a person with such less post count should not be allowed to buy .Is this justified as its our old community members that should be benefitting from trades like this and not the entire nation

Well sir ji I have a simple question Why? Until and unless some new member is cheating a fellow member/dealer there is no issue about them benefiting with the deals over here.

People Search On The Net See That A Product Selling For 880 Is Selling For 500 Join TE Have 0 Post Count And Take Benefit ,Is This OK I Mean The Benefit Should Be To Old TE Members ? - Not The Entire Nation .
 
^^ But in that case you should not have any problem as you are getting your sales done right ??

It is your discretion whether to sell the particular thing to that person or not. But i suppose no on would deny a sale on the grounds of post count. :S
 
:D looks like paaji having too many orders :P from new people. I think its OK. after all people who join for the trade benefit come again looking for the new deals etc. Sooner or later it helps community in growing up. Also it will help you too paaji, more people are aware of your site and feel confident when buying the stuff from you later, otherwise how would people know about your site and feel confident for their first purchase from your site?

That Takes The Essene Out of a Forum :) .Its Not About Sale All The Time ,though We Are Here To Sell .
 
@Amarbir will be correct if the pricing is special to the forum members. say for example, he wants only the forum members to enjoy a 12% discount on some product and not everyone in india or world, he has every right to say no to people who join up just to buy from him.

i know this looks rather odd since he's doing business, but he might be able to do this only cause he wants more long time forum members to buy his stuff and not some one time people who will forget his store after the discount is over. its like a promotion for his site.

Amarbir, you are right in saying that a lot of people seem to be joining TE purely for getting the benefits of the market section. But Zero post count buyers buying from the market is not harmful to the forum although it can still be considered unethical abuse considering that they are reaping benefits without contributing anything tot he forums in return. But if the Admins and mods are fine with that, I guess there is no reason for you to complain either. There is still the chance of fraudsters, but you just have to make sure that you take full amount in advance for sales so that you never get a raw deal. Your deals are not personal sales, so you don't have to trust anyone from the forum or give them stuff on credit.

The thing of more concern is people who join solely for selling their stuff in the market. They can actively harm the forums and its members if they are not honest. Although the 35 post requirement is there, many try to spam their way to the limit. Although mods take care of such cases, its too much of a bother for them too.

In my personal opinion, even this can be fixed if post count required is increased to a decently high number like 100 or 150 to discourage spamming or alternatively the limit is made on reputation points or a combination of both like for example either 100 posts or one dot worth of reputation points gets you access to market.

Now thats a very valid point .. If Amarbir is also trying to imply the same then he has a valid point too .. I say this because he mentions in his thread TE Special Price which means its applicable to TE and not general public as such ..
Please dont flame me as its just my opinion
 
I think Amarbir wants to convey that If he has particular no of pieces @ special rates for TE members, they he would like to benifit only genuine TE members not those who joined just for sake of partcular deal and doesn't want any genuine member to miss it.

No offence meant.

errr....you urself defying your own point :S

from your next deal u can mention clearly that the deal is open only for members with 'x' amount of posts and members on the forums from 'x' no. of months / years.....but then someone else will start a thread saying - new members spamming the forum too much.

however i leave this entirely to some real senior mod to comment upon.

on a broader outlook if i were to go to a comp shop anywhere in the country apart from my local shop, he doesn't ask me for my ration card to check - where do i stay ? and decline the sale since i have not been staying in his vicinity for 'x' no. of days / weeks / months / years and hence he cant sell anything to me......

probably u should scan the id's yourself and as per your discretion decide if u would like to offer the special deal to the new member or not.

I Cannot Do That until the Mods And Admin also Decide In This Favour Hence the thread is Created ,But i will go with what our own community members want .simple

very much understood, however if u want this really implemented for your good and for the restricted group of elite members who have access to your special rates, its time u put the "Discount Coupon/Code" on your website to some use. And generate 1 time usage coupons and pm members with the same. Now thats something u can readily do, should u wish to do so, since u already have the feature on ur website which afaik is dormant as of now.
 
Personally i dont see the point of this thread, its a free world free country how many rules and regulations do u want in place ?? At the end of the day its the sellers perogative who he wants to sell it,i dont think there should have been a post limit earlier too as all it leads to is un necesarry spamming to get to that 25 or 50th post...

if you go to any other comp shop, you will be charged the rates they charge normal customers i.e the people who visit their shop first time. if you frequently buy from their shop they will give discounts which is not available to normal customers.

hey...i just checked your last 40 posts amarbir....all of them are from market section or this thread..:/...

it makes me wanna believe that you are here just for getting trade benefit.

As a matter of fact 90% of his posts are going to be in Trade section or ranting about something.
