I just checked the new "Mile Sur Mera Tumhara" video on zoom. It seems they have taken a totally different approach but the crux i.e. (IMO) tune of the entire songs was totally screwed up.
Seems more like a remixed version of the original which was nevertheless Awesome to listen and see.
 
Oh man. It is not up on youtube as yet, and I am dying to see the new video. Lets hope someone ups it soon.

Before somebody asks, I am not in India anymore and so I do not have access to Zoom.

EDIT: Got it. Saw it. Brings out bucket loads of patriotism. *sigh* I miss India.

Could have done much better.

They shouldn't had played with the original tune.

Rahman is underutilized.

Missed the parting shot of the old - Amitabh, Mithun and Jitendra (Could have been legendary seeing them together again after 20 years).

I'm getting pissed off at this pathetic excuse for Mile sur mera tumhara. Havent finished watching it yet, but I'm pissed off!

OMG! This was beyond crappy! I need to watch the original just to get my head straight.

This feels like it was done for the heck of it. Added extra music where it was totally unnecessary, added so-called celebrities where they were simply not wanted or needed, this is pathetic.

These people who made this should be shot! This is as bad as RGV ki aag.

The new and crappy version just seems to be an extended publicity video for various celebrities. The old one had relatively few celebs and had more of the aam aadmi.
 
^^^ Completely agree. Cant put it better than this.
We guys wathced the original one 100s of times, still every time it used to look so refreshing. This one feels boring even the first time. Deepika Padukune's part is the worst of all. It's insulting the original one.
Andhra Pradesh should have been represented by an ordinary telugu or somebody of stature of Bala Murali Krishna gaaru or Balasubramaniam.

+1 to all those who says this vid sux. who the hell are all those . when you put a celebrity , atleast 90 out of 100 should be able to recognise them instantly.

was wondering if it was just our "used to original" feeling that is making all above posters to make such comments.
 
Very Bad, I wish they should retain old tune.

I always feel proud while watching old version.

New is BAD.
 
Except rahman fingerboard part the whole song has been crapped up...

Earlier one used to show the classical angle of each region as it used to past.....this one looked to be a remixed....

Also the earlier actors(personalities)who were part of the song used to look to have reached some greatness in their field.....This one looks more like a star screen award...so much bollywood personalities.....and Deepika padukone...thats the cherry on this BS cake.....same abt shilpa shetty

I would have loved to see aamir,salman and srk in one frame together as we had amitabh,mithunda and jeetendra in original song.

No Sachin,latadi,rajni was shocking !
 
Bollywood Tamasha/Nautanki... Padukone looks like a ... Phail !

Edit: I wish Jaya Bhaduri and Amar Singh were there in that video :cursing:
