New mobile needed under 6k

Hi all.I'm buying a mobile phone next week.I'm looking for suggestions.Company doesn't matter as long as features are good.
Budget - around 6k
It should either be a qwerty keypad model or a entry level touch screen.

P.S. I am joining an engineering college and this is my first mobile purchase.

You can go for nokia 5230. Great touch screen phone from nokia.

Nokia 5233 ~ 6.6k. Its the same as the 5230 but lacks 3G and GPS. The 5230 costs 1k more.
