New Mobile phone buying query

I am looking for a new phone which should be a smartphone(symbian, android,windows mobile,blackberry). A large touch screen is preferred but not absolutely necessary. My budget is 7k. I am looking for nokia 5233.
I am not much intrested in 3G now because of its pathetic state in india. I think even when it will be properly launched it will be damn expensive(correct me if i am wrong)
So i am looking to use GPRS with 2GB limit for 98rs in vodafone. i will use it for some net surfing, social networking, mailing and a bit of chatting. will GPRS be enough? also what speed will i get in KBPS?
Its a bit urgent as i am looking to get by tomorrow.
If anyone is using net on 5800 or 5230 or 5233 please tell me how is it?
I have used GPRS on E63 and i was satisfied with it. How will be the browsing experience on 5233 as compared to E63?

I used to have the 5800XM. Surfing experience is good. The downside of almost all nokia touchscreen phones is the poor build quality & the horrendous sliding screen lock key that goes kaput in a short span of time.

U cannot help about the build quality. For the screen Lock, use a freeware software called MyKeyLock (Google it...) & u would never need to use the flimsy hardware key again.



The 5233 is a good phone for ur needs & budget. But consider the 5230 as well as the price difference is not much & u get 3G support for the future.

I suggest u go for it.
