Doesn't the Redmi 1s have similar specs at less than half the price? And aren't the Asus Zen phones with better/similar specs also cheaper? Not to mention the Xolo's and Karbonns.
Moto G ver 2.0 may by good, but the Moto G ver 1.0 had raised the bar for affordable phones, and IMO this one doesn't bring anything new to the table, and is priced much higher than it's competition.
I don't think this phone's going to make the same impact as it's predecessor. (Which only succeeded because it changed the rules of the game, it was an exceptional phone because it was priced right and not an exceptional phone period.)

Bigger screen, but same processor and just 1gb ram. This really isn't lukin' good. Better have mi3 or oneplusone/mi4(when they come out).

I actually am among the few who like a smaller screen I.e. 4.5" as I already have a s4 and find it cumbersome to hold for single handed operations and hence bought the moto g as my secondary phone .
Liked it so much gave the s3 to my wife and use only the moto g with both Sims and s4 is kept back in the box .
The main advantage of s3/s4 is the awesome sound quality when listening to music and the superb amoled screens when watching HD videos where Motorola g cannot match up to them . For everyday use moto g is great . Sorry for OT .

For a second let us leave Xiaomi, which discontinued its flagship for the sake of promoting a low end phone. How many companies have you seen doing that, I saw companies which scaled down ops to promote products but not discontinuing. Now that's called cheap strategy, "You should buy, whatever we sell"

Asus Phones build quality is quite good, I heard latest firmware solves the problems which was faced by majority of the users. Zenfone 5 is the competitor to Moto G2 . ASUS seems to be have not so good after sales. Any who who bought Zenfone in the last sale?

I think Flipkart discontinued mi3 because they want to sell new moto g , which has lower specs than the mi3 ( full HD screen 2 GB ram etc ..) . Once new moto g craze dies down then they will get back mi3 of which they have lesser stock than the new g and then sell mi3 for its current price and new moto g at a discount , below which will be the redmii note below that the redmi 1s and then they will further discount moto e to lesser or as much as redmi1s .

Saw the X reviews. Pricing seems out of sync with the changed times. G offers far better VFM.

X is their flagship and for a flagship it is priced very competitively and has beat all other flagships when it comes to launch price. Plus the obvious benefit of the Moto Maker. I must say I am very tempted to try one out just for the uniqueness of the Moto Maker.
I had really hoped other companies would have followed suit and provided customization options, but the idea didn't catch on.

Frankly I must agree that MOTO X sounds very tempting than Moto G. Flagship is an Flagship.

GSMarena reports memory isn't expandable. But Indian media reports it has expandable slot. Confusing.
Confirmed: No expandable slot.
