Awesome trailer, the fact that criterion is involved makes me think this ones gonna rock... imo mw was the last best in the series, hopefully this'll bring back the charm...

Shift was the best game in the franchise since NFS5 and an excellent race sim on its own merit.
 
NFS Shift is worse than Undercover . Its a complete rip off of Grid with bad contols and car respons times with abnormally bad control system

Shift was a good Racing SIM.

Need For Speed is not known for Sims. It is known for fast licensed cars that are just fun to drive. Shift was a bad attempt to jump on Grid/Gran Turismo bandwagon. It's like iD Software making a RTS. Stick to your roots ffs...
 
Yesh! That's the one. Looks like both the cop cars and racer cars can pump NOS. The collision sparks are exactly the same as Burnout.

Exactly.it is one of the the best sims out there with realistic feeling.

but one thing i dont understand why they are releasing nother game with the same name.they could have named it hot pursuit 3 instead.
 
A lambo overtaking a veyron on straight line looks so wrong imo.

At least i hope its better than the previous ones.
 
Hot Pursuit 2 was the most challenging racing game I ever played. Well, it felt so back in the day. Every gold medal felt like I accomplished something.

Everytime a new NFS title is announced, we all get excited hoping it will bring back the glory days of this franchise. NFSMW, HP2, NFS2, Porsche all were quality titles. I hope this new one doesnt disappoint. But, have a bad feeling it will :(.

BTW, I hope they bring back the 2 player split screen feature. That was awesome fun. Dont know why they removed it.

That's a very important aspect & I hope they certainly have the feature. I fail to understand why Split Screen modes are being removed from racing games these days. It was good that Split/Second retained it. I guess online multiplayer is being focussed more and that could be one of the reasons of it's omission.
 
When the Bugatti Veyron's spoiler goes up... its like uh oh.. somebody's a$$ is gonna get whopped :bleh: But then the Lambo comes along and I remember the scene from Transporter 2, it wasn't cool that the Lambo overtakes a Veyron... Anyway me was floored more by the Zonda's and the Konnegseegegegegegegegg :bleh:

The NFS franchise was all about sims and that is where their true roots lie ;).

The Need for Speed, the very first game in the series was a pure sim.
NFS2 had a separate dedicated simulation mode.
Finally with NFS5, they went balls out simulation only with an advanced 4-point physics model.

Then came along NFS:HP2 and the subsequent tuner culture games which drove the franchise into the ground bit by bit one game at a time.

HP2 wasnt tuner culture dude. All that started with Underground.
 
Aaahh, the NFS trailers are always awesome, these guys have a knack for making some of the most gripping game trailers. trailers like these get us all excited and then the game disappoints like the case has been with some of the latest released NFS games.

just hope the game lives up to the hype. this trailer is no different, looks fantastic and when you have the Veyron, Zonda and a Lambo in one trailer can you ask for more?
 
I played all NFS titles till date & for me, Underground 2 & Most Wanted were the best ones. Prostreet & Shift were huge letdowns.

Just hope that the new Hot Pursuit doesn't make the Cops Super Intelligent......!! That would take the fun outta driving.

Afterall, this is a racing game & what would be the point if the cops don't allow us to race AT ALL......!!!
