X6 doesn't look impressive to me.
Not including a memory card slot is a serious mistake even if they put 32GB internally. Also after considering its a higher end phone, it still has the same processor and ram as the 5800 and N97.
Also Personally, I like Resistive touch screens more than Capacitive as they offer both precision with stylus and decent enough finger touch capabilities compared to a capacitive screen's finger touch only capabilities.
In fact a few of my colleagues at office who are new to touch screens were trying out a few touch screen phones and they say they liked the resistive screens on 5800 and even the Samsung Star over the capacitive screen of the iPhone. They especially liked the vibration feedback on the 5800. They say that the iPhone touch screen is so sensitive that you never know when you clicked something and there is no feedback either.
Another major problem from their perspective is that they cannot use any random pointed object like a stylus/pen or anything else to operate the screen. For example while eating with your hand, if you get a call or msg, you cannot for example use the back of a pen or a spoon to operate a capacitive screen under an emergency like with a resistive screen.
The only major advantage of a capacitive screen is that is its well suited for multi-touch, but that is again way overrated on a mobile. How many fingers can you actually put on a < 4" screen.
So I would say X6 inherited iPhones weaknesses without none of its advantages. The only symbain phone currently that can be directly comapred to the iPhone 3GS is the Omnia HD. That has a capacitive screen, but its also OLED which is a major advantage and the hardware which is same as iPhone 3GS is overkill for Symbain 5th edtion and makes it insanely fast. It also has both internal memory as well as a card slot and a 8MP Camera (though I consider anything over 3.5MP useless for a Phone). Unfortunately it has its own problems currently. The other phone that can be compared is the 5800 simply because of the rich feature set at half the price.
