where you live? service depends from place to place as cablewala varies ;)

Cos of all fcking politics.

Asked other nearest cable walla.

He told that he can't give me new connection cos its not his area.

yeah what is international & peering?

btw, anyone have any idea if its available in New Town (rajarhat)

@mathrisk ask your local cable operator...

@abhinavmail1 its your lan connection speed.. ie, you are downloading a torrent, and if someone is seeding it within your lan it will be fetched to you with that speed

you can check if you are in peering network at www.torbox.net

@ aritra thanks buddy got it. Btw one more question my elder brother live in kolkata he is on bsnl evdo, he wants to take cable bb so does alliance provide dc++ access to their coustomers ? Does they charge extra for HUB access .

@abhinav actually I dont know, because I had never been used alliance BB myself, my cable operates under another BB, and considering the cable ops are dumb like I have seen, I guess, they also cant answer you, ask him to call alliance directly and ask them, but before tell him to contact local cable operator to know which BB service are they providing

Sure he is a good person.

But my cable wala is a Gunda and a active member Green Team.

So,he cheat ppl without any hesitation and we can't do anything about it.

And other cable operator afraid to give line in this area.

I don't use his cable anymore.

I'm a victim fcking Democracy. :@

There is no hub but users like me and few others on LAN have ftp or http servers for sharing and we keep contact on LAN messenger called Borg.

peering speed is very much limited now for low end packs and hence sharing on Borg at speeds before will be a nightmare :(
