Intel Dual Core 2.5 GHz E5200 - 800 FSB/2MBCache 3500

Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2L 2425

transcend Ram 2 * 2gb 2500

Western Digital Sata 2 500 gb2900

Zebronics Bijli without SMPS 1200

Corsair 400W Power Supply (CX400W) 3300

Palit HD 4670 Super 512MB DDR3 128Bit Super With HDMI & Display Port 4900

Samsung LCD T220 10.5 k

Keyboard MULTIMEDIA LOGITECH 500

MOUSE 500

But Gaming on a 22 inch'er requires more gpu power, can you increase your budget?

4670 is faster than a 8600gt.

+1
to that , also look @ 9600 GT .. a bit faster than 4670 but bit expensive too , or get 4830 via KMD @ 6k .
Also with a 4670 a Cm460W will be good enough , if you don't plan to upgrade soon ..

The system will be used only for casual gaming and movies/songs. So i didn't go for high end graphic card. Budget is strict at that, change can be made in lcd ( dropping to 19-20" ) . What are other options in PSU which will happily support 4670.

^^
you can go for :
Dell LCD 19'' 1909W 7200
or
Samsung LCD 18.5 '' 933 SN 6875

And get a ZoTac
ZT-96TES3P-FSR 9600GT 512MB DDR3 5600
which happens to be a better card then a 4670, like Uday pointed out.

OR

ZoTac
ZT-98GES3P-FCP 9800GT 512MB DDR3
AMP Edition for 8300

OR

Sapphire HD 4850 512MB DDR3 for 9075

Processor - Intel Core2Quad Q6600 - 9500

Motherboard - Intel DG35EC - 3600

PSU - Corsair VX450 - 3600

GPU - MSI N9800GT DDR3 512MB - 7200

RAM - Transcend DDR2 4GB (2x2) @ 800Mhz - 2400

HDD - Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB - 2700

LCD - Dell 1909W 19" - 6500

Chassis - Zebronics Bijli without PSU - 900

Mouse - Microsoft IntelliExplorer 3.0 - 1600

Keyboard - Microsoft Comfort Curve 2000 - 800

Optical Drive - Samsung OctoEdge - 1000

Net - Rs 39,800

A Bit above your budget. :(

Stick to the Intel board if you're not into Overclocking. If you are maybe , go for a Gigabyte motherboard.

Intel Dual Core 2.5 GHz E5200 Rs.3.5k

Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2L Rs.2.5k

Transcend Ram 2x2gb Rs.2.1k

Seagate 500GB Rs.3k

Zebronics Bijli without SMPS Rs.1.2k

Zebronics Pro 500W Rs. 2.8k

Sapphire 4830 from KMD Rs. 6k

Samsung LCD T220 10.5 k

KB + Mouse Microsoft Combo Rs. 0.8k

UPS 1800

The 4830 destroys both the 9600GT/4670 or else you can wait for sometime on your GPU till RV 740 releases.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. It's a friends system so i don't really hava a sya in budget and this is already quite extended by him. I will see what i can get and update the thread later :) .

I went with the AMD route again. Here's the buy

Amd phenom x3

Gigabyte GA-MA78G-DS3H ( nice mobo with crossfire support ).

Palit HD4650 ( can do hybrid crossfire with onboard hd3200 ).

2 x 2 gb transcend 800 mhz .

creative 5.1 inspire .

powerfocus 550W power supply ( around 1.8k was raising budget for vx450 but it was too costly ) .

Samsung 20" lcd

some cheapo cabinet .

All in 35.7 k . I know there are some cranks in the config but my friend seems to be quiet happy with it .
