a 6600 GT wont be able to run UT2007.

Rumoured requirements were 6 series and x*** series of gfx cards atleast.

Also, Dual Core Proccies, would be better (as the game is multi-threaded.)

I expect the requirements to be atleast a 7800GT, but knowing the Unreal Engines, i wont be suprised if it will run smooth on low settings for 6 Series.

As the game is being developed as we speak, it has to be developed on one of the existing cards doesnt it :P.

Lets wait and watch!

Im dying for UT2007!

now abt the proccy (wots the price of 3200+)
btw i can do wid a 120 gb to drop sm price (or dere isnt a large margain??)
the dvd-rw will run all regions dvd naa nwrite dual layer dvd's??
hows the iball--800 walla cabinet??

btw the 1640 isnt available here or wot?

Sony 810 for 4.2!!!!!!!!! Blasphemy!!! Get the LG for <3K. And samsung monitor 7K.

How important is music? Then you'll need sound card and good speakers.

If the BenQ is not available, get the LG GS-4163B - Next best. The BenQ 17" Flat costs just 5.5K. I got 2 for my friends and its great. But at the same time, I don't know too much specifics as far as monitors are concerned, so can't say anymore than the fact that the BenQ is serious VFM.

And why not wait for the 6800GS ? I was informed by Delta Peripherals here that the cards will very soon be available for retail and the cost would be 15.5~16K. AFAIK, Kamal at Delta has never passed any info to me unless he had a solid base that he would be getting a component soon. So am expecting the 6800GS to be available real soon.

Guys see his budget... I dont see him getting a good PSU with that budget forget the speakers... And as per the optical drive the Sony is a replica of the benq 1640 and sorry i posted wrong price its 3.2 actually:ashamed:

For music, do it the way any self respecting man would do...Assemble your own rocking 5.1 sound setup for a fraction of the price ....

Lajpat Rai market (Opp Lal Qila ) will be your best bet :bleh:

And yeah, the DRU810A box packed is 3.2 K :) and 'tis just a rebadged 1640 though at a 400/- premium :bleh:

So let us add this up again;

Chennai prices

Asus A8N-E: 5.75K

Venice 3000+: 6.05K

Seagate 7200.9 SATA 160: 4.5K (only 400/- more than 120)

Sony DRU810A: 3.2K

XFX 6600GT: 9.5K

Transcend 512X2 DDR400: 5K

KB+Mouse: 0.8K

Cabby: el-cheapo: 600/-

PSU: Am myself looking for a good VFM PSU but let's say 2K

Add a 17" flat Samsung: 6.6K

That's 44K

dealers...u can always go to SMC international....and ofcourse Computer empire gives the best prices there...:)

not entirely true - big named game studios (especially those involved in developing next-gen 3d engines), establish close working relationships with hardware vendors that gives them access to prototype technology - it might simply be a souped up version of an existing product (faster clock speeds, sli/crossfire based solutions) or a hash job like the xbox 360 alpha dev kits that were running on dual G5 processors, to provide an indication of what to expect. this symbiotic relationship is critical for both parties - game developers need first hand information on upcoming tech trends and challenges and hardware vendors need an immediate software library to showcase their new products.

but yes, you're right about the fact that UT 2007 will support the GF6 series...

guys tell me onthng im totally unknown abt oc'ing but if i intend to do it wid my sys the config still remains the same (as above) or do i need a better mobo??

I bought a Benq 1640 from NP, New Delhi for Rs.3200 with 2 years warranty about 2 months back. I think the price has dropped to around Rs. 3000.

Does a SATA 3.0 drive have any issue with the A8N-E... i am asking this because asus mentions it as SATA 2.0 ... please reply fast as i have to pass this msg on tomy fren who is getting his system from the US

Your hooking up a turntable and other music gizmo to your system. Is it that your looking to do a bit of pro recording or just regular run off the mill recording and playback?

If its Pro do not go for the X-Fi or the regular Sound cards. Go with one of the EMU series from Creative. I am getting one for my bro to hook up his GT-8 processor.
These things have enough inputs to connect external devices and can record at the same Pro signal strength that professional recording studios can.

If not...well the Audigy prices have started to drop due to the release of the X-Fi.

You should be able to find the card in a couple of Pro music shops. eg. Bharat in ND. They are pricy though. Hope this info helps you out.

thnks man..fill me in more abt the prices..even if smone knows abt turntables n all...n yea not fre sm pro recording but jess fer some run of mill action
