and still confused about I5 and phenom II::S

thhx m8

the config is similar.... i would be buying a corsair vx 550....so i don't think 650 va ups would handle it, hence the 1 kva model....and for the cabinet... i think cm 690 II basic/ advanced would be a good buy.

i'm also concerned about the heating prob of 965/955 BE.... (so do i need extra/replacement cooler for it?)

also i5 or 965 BE?

I've recommended the following configuration according to your needs:

Processor AMD Phenom II X4 - 955 BE Rs.8000

HDD 500 GB WD Blue Rs.2000

GPU Sapphire HD5770 1GB GDDR5/ MSI Hawk HD5770 1GB GDDR5 Rs.9600

Monitor Dell S2009W or Samsung B2030 Rs.6400

Cabinet LanCool DragonLord PC-K56W Rs.4500 / NZXT Gamma Rs.2300(w/extra 120mm intake)

PSU/SMPS Corsair VX 450 Rs.3700

Key Board Logitech Standard w/palm rest Rs.400

Mouse Logitech MX518 Rs.1500

ODD L.G. GH22NS50 OEM SATA DVD-Writer Rs.950

Speakers Altec Lansing 2.1 BXR1221 Rs.950

Total 46700 + 6000 = 52700(for APC 1KVA) (w/NZXT GAMMA) Rs.54900(w/LanCool DragonLord)

1)which is mobo is better MSI 880GMA-E45 Rs.5700 or msi 890 gxm-g-65 Rs 6800

2) why 955 be instead of 965 be. not much diff in cost

965=955 with +1 multiplier... makes no sense paying 1k more... just get the 955 and increase multiplier to make it 965... possible even on stock cooler... u can get upto 3.8Ghz on the stock cooler with a lil ocing...

No man there is a lot more better in the 965 B.E. and it is slightly more expensive, I would recommend you get the 965 B.E. with an 890 GX based motherboard, getting one with the C3 stepping enabled should not be an issue

Actually read tht review... shows the difference to be minimal at best... like i said if u increase the multiplier the processors are the same...amds just trying to charge u fr smething u can do urself... also that review shows there isnt that big difference between the 2 processors and that review is for the old c2 version of the 965 with a TDP of 140w which would actually overclock worse than the 955...

Bru he already said he will not over clock so that is why I suggested also the c3 stepping version of the 965 is easily available I bought mine way back in Jan and is a c3 confirmed, if you go to Tom's Hardware similar results are posted

i absolutely go with his advice

On the motherboard front will advise 890GX as it is amore powerful chipset and has all the features the 880 has well worth the slight premium look for ASUS or Gigabyte, I have had bad experience with MSI in a 790GX setup and saw my friends MSI 785G E65 fry in front of my eyes so caution on MSI front

I myself have an ASUS motherboard it is fine, Gigabyte is slightly more expensive but comes loaded with features

For monitor go for the Benq Eco series or the G2200HD
