New phone in less than 9k... pls help

a friend of mine would like to buy a new cell.. user ll be a girl...

budget 9k max

requirements :

good music playback
good cam
3g
wifi (if possible)

Does not mind a touch screen...

Please suggest some phones that are vfm for this requirement...

Without touch:

Nokia C5/SE Zylo/c510/hazel/elm

With touch:

Corby pro/Galaxy 5

Others your wish

BTW android means lower battery life

So i vote against it, though i am an Android User

(Own an X10 mini,its great for that price)

all se phones are rubbish avoid .. at this price point nokia phones are the best .. . i wont be surprised if in a few months SE mobile business shuts downs like palm .

just like SE nokia is also not releasing good phones with android

all companies manufacture phones which have some specialty in their phones

like SE is good for playing games and multimedia features

nokia is superior when it comes to non touch screen phones .. value for money is much more in a nokia if ur buying something below 10k

well in smartphones both nokia and SE are rubbish ..

I think we are going off topic, all this guy needs is a phone that meets his budget and requirement. And we have drifted into se vs nokia, nokia se vs the rest, etc. So my vote still goes for SE hazel has all that he needs 3g wifi good cam and multimedia, it doesnt have a 3.5 mm jack and will be slightly over his budget. And it would help if everybody is model specific, instead of saying get a nokia phone or get an android phone

will call x10 double rubbish .. 1.6 android when the world has moved to 2.2 .. just shows u how much SE supports their users .. x10 range is getting an update soon but that wont change anything much

not to drift away from the topic. the point is u will find a better range in nokia under 10k and ur resale value of nokia will be much much better + after sales of nokia phones in india rocks . so if ur budget is under 10k chose a nokia cause nokia is the king of low end symbian non touch screen phones .. symbian on non touch screen phones performs brilliantly + u get that free ovi music downloads for a year +free ovi maps .. a nokia is a much better buy ..

Don think android would be a good option here.. A girl's gonna be using it.. n don think android's vast resources are necessary for her.. also low battery life...

I bought a Galaxy 3 for myself a week ago... And im happy with it.. Dont think it would really be fully used by a girl....

Btw how much is the Nokia X3- Touch type in price? (Its the Nokia X3-02 right?)
