News New products to take center stage at Macworld Expo

IDG World Expo on Friday offered some details about what some exhibitors have planned to debut at Macworld Conference & Expo. The event runs from January 9 - 13, 2006 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, Calif.

LaCie plans to show off six new products including its new Little Big Disk, Rugged Hard Drive, Skwarim and more.

FileMaker will offer attendees information about its recently released FileMaker Server 8 Advanced, which adds rapid Web deployment tools, custom integration with internal and external Web sites, and ODBC, JDBC and XML data source linking.

Belkin will show off its new CableFree USB Hub, which uses Ultra Wideband (UWB) to communicate with a Mac or PC using a USB dongle.

Micromat’s TechTool Protege will be onhand — it’s a bootable, FireWire-based flash drive that includes essential diagnostic and repair utilities.

Fujitsu will give hands-on demonstrations of its SnapScap fi-5110EOXM, a single-pass duplex automatic document feeding scanner.

NovaMind Software will showcase NovaMind 3, a major new release of its software used for recording brainstorm sessions to generate ideas for marketing and other goals.

Small Tree Communications will demonstrate BlazeFS, a new file sharing system for Gigabit Ethernet and 10Gb Ethernet-based Macs.

SecureMac.com will show off MacScan 2.0, a major new release of its security software designed to protect Macs from spyware.
