Need new psu for my Htpc

Config

E7300

Gigabyte G31mEs2l

Ram 2gb

Hdd wd 1tb, 320gb, 250gb

dvd writer

hd 4350-512mb

suggest a budget psu please....

Budget : Any good quality enuf to be sufficient running that config smoothly....nothing heavy coz i already have my gaming pc for that...
 
Is saving money on power bills your priority?

Then Look for Seasonic S12II 330W/380W or Corsair CX400W

thanxx for reply...what is the difference between corsair 400w & 430w ? might buy one of the two...budget as i said quality psu enuf to power my rig...the corsair 430w on prime's site is 2750/- & 400w is 2700/- any other contenders ???

vx450 is way overkill for the config...and not worth spending the xtra $$$ if im not going to use that much power...
 
There is no 430W PSU from corsair AFAIK

Seasonic 380W/330W should also suffice for you, they have a tad better efficiency at lower loads then Corsair, otherwise go for CX400

Welcome to Corsair :: Builder Series CX430 Power Supply

@OP- CX430 is inferior to CX400. The CX430 is part of the new builder series from Corsair. They carry only 2 years warranty and is not 80+ certified. They are rated at lower temps and has less AMPS on 12V rails than the CX400.

The CX400 is clearly a better choice.
 
budget not low mate anything wud do but the money shud be justifiable...currently leaning for corsair 400w only :) which one is best ?? corsair 400w gigabyte 460w or fsp saga 400w ??? consider hassle free cs as well in better :D

If budget is not an issue then corsair is best as compared to gigabyte,FSP..also A.S.S of corsair is good,will get replacement within a week for corsair..

I have used this so called Mron 400W power supply with my Atom download machine about an year back and it got busted after a month's usage. The system used to run 24x7 FYI.

Please refrain from giving such lame advices in the forum. If your friend was able to run a power hungry machine with such a power supply, it doesn't qualify as a 'not kaput company smps'.
 
^^ i get 30kbps download speed so system is on 24¤7 downloading.it powers amd tricore 3gig rams 320+80gb hdd and ati 5670 512mb card. . System gets off only when power is out... For me its good quality even after a year it works tats why.. I am giving the buyer option buying is his choice. .
