PC Peripherals new rig for 35 - 40k

hey techies, my cousin is thinking of buying a new rig next week.

Plzzz suggest a rig for around 35k....max 40k...he is thinkin of buyin the 8800GT 512MB ( he uses rig for high end gaming and movies and net surfing ). Is this possible in the budget specified and is the 9600 GT available in india....which is better 8800 GT or 9600 GT?

He is willing to compromise on moniter and processor ( as in he is willing to go for a simple 17inch or even a 15inch LCD...and proccy like E4300 to E4500....what bout E2160?? ) )...plzzz help....btw we stay in bangalore so prices from SP road are also welcome:) :)

40K you say... hmmm it's always challenging to assemble a rig in 40K. It's lot of money but just not enough. so the challenge. 40K is just ambiguous. It's neither here, nor there... anyway, here is your Rig (Of course best suited to my taste)

Intel E4500 processor @ 4.8K

Abit IP-35E Mobo at 5.5K

Cooler Master 330 cabinet @ 2.1K

POV Black Diamond 500W PSU @ 2.9K

RAM: 1 GB 800Mhz DDR2X2 @ 2K (Branded RAM like Transcend preferred)

19" Monitor with DVI @ 10K (preferably Dell if you can find it)

Gfx card: let the dust settle and then get 9600GT (512MB Ram) for around 9K

Keyboard+mouse: .5K

Speakers: If you are an "mild" audiophile then ATP 3 @ 2.7K or Altec Lansing VS2421 @ 2.2K or else creative SBS 370 @ 1.1K and a good pair of headset for around 1K (when doing total I will count speaker+headphone combo)

DVD Writer: Samsung 20x SATA SH-203B @ 1.4K

Hard Disk: 250GB @ 2.7K

It's around 40K and decent rig.

If you want to cut some cost, i suggest you seek out KMD. He is a dealer and may arrange a 3850 (256 MB) gfx card from some US sites. That may save you some money. I have not idea how much this card will cost you (including shipping and all) but at Newegg it's available for around $150 (6K). It's a good card that will play all the available games at 1440X900 res at high (Crysis on medium).
