PC Peripherals New rig for close Friend

Guys close pal of mine in Chennai...he's into stock broking needs a real fine rig for his trading work and entertainment, though not a gamer he may become one occasionally and is a movie buff and and audiophile..
Suggestions I gave: (his budget is around 1.5 Lkh) :ohyeah:

AMD X2 4400+
Asus A8N SLI premium
corsair XMS twinX 3200XL (512*2) tccd (:ohyeah: tried n tested by YT)
HDD's - 2*160 GB hitachi T7K's
Graphics - 6600GT/6800GS/7800GT (leadtek or asus :ohyeah: )
1 * DVDRW + 1 * Combo drive
Monitor (19" TFT or 21" CRT) he has a palace so space ain't as issue :ohyeah: suggestions needed which brand
Mouse - MX 518 (don't think he needs a G5 or something) wireless anyone??
Keyboard - a logitech (suggestions open) no G15 please...:P
Cabby - CM 810/P180/????
PSU - ???? (sys may run 24 hrs or more non stop)
UPS - ???

help please...;)

Cabby - CM Stacker 810 or CM Stacker 830

PSU - Cooler Master Real Power 550 Watts with EPS12V = Rs. 7500

UPS - APC Back-UPS RS 1000 VA UPS = Rs. 6800

Monitor - Viewsonic VP930b 19 inch 8 ms HDTV Ready LCD Monitor for Rs. 30500
or Samsung SyncMaster 1100DF 21 inches Flat CRT Monitor for Rs. 25000

Cooler Master one is better is'nt it NeoHE is quite but the Cooler Master one rocks it has a LED Fan and is Black in Colour.
 
UDIT color and lights doesn't matter when u are choosing a PSU ..... chk out the specification of both PSU and u will see the difference .....

Get two of those Viewsonic 19" panels that udit suggested. They are the best you'll get in India. I'm not sure if dell panels are available in India or else would have recommended those.

@Udit: who cares about black color and led fans in a PSU :P

The NeoHE is the best PSU available in India period! 3 12V rails each having a max of 17A.... doesn't get any better. Its also EPS/ATX V2.2 compliant and has amazing efficiency figures. On top of that, its cheap :P.

asus a8n sli premium
geforce 7800gtx 256 mb or get the leadtek winfast 7800gt 256mb my vivo extreme.
since he said dual monitor tht wud do sufficient
psu neo he
hard disk 250gb * 2 hitachi sata2
dvd rw
combo
antec p180 its ****ing great cabby if ur not adding water cooling or stuffs
proccy i'd still suggest to get those opty 165 from swiitch its a gr8 one or 170
ram 512 * 2 suffice corsair xl tccd's or if he dont ocs just get twinmos it isn bad mine runs at 210 mhz by default
get two big good monitors as udit suggested
a neat keyboard and mouse.
creative x-fi
all of the above will come under rs 1lakh 50 thousand i think :)

bloody hell...all he wants is to lookit share prices on big screens and trade while watching...i don't exactly know...
SLI for that u gotta be kidding.....c'mon guys.....he isn't killcreek now....He wants a rolls you're giving him a lambo....:bleh:
 
1. SLI is a waste of dough so you're going down the right path vandal - eVGA or Leadtek 7800gt is more than sufficient to drive 2 screens.

2. Chuck the SLI board - get a regular A8N-E Deluxe

3. Antec PSU that Chaos suggested and Viewsonic/Acer 19" (I use 2 Acer widescreens at work and they're solid, sad to drive them through a 6200tc though)

4. Chunk the P180, it looks like a toy - he can afford the TX1050

5. AMD X2 3800+ is enough, no need for a 4400+

6. 2*1GB RAM is the new standard (besides, he will need it for screen spanning)

7. A nice aftermarket liquid cooling system for silent operation :ohyeah: (or at least aftermarket air cooling kits for CPU and GPU)
 
Nice suggestions m8.I'd rather go with the MSI neo 4 platinum. don't trust the A8N-E....
yeah a TX is better, i think lower latencies should affect the performance a bigger deal so how bout 512*4??

When he has 1.5 Lakhs to spend.

Dont pull back on anything.

Get 2 74GB Raptors as well.

Get 2 GB RAM.

Trust me, itll be useful.

Get the NeoHE 500W. Its THE best in India. Period.
 
He clearly doesn't need the Raptors :) Just because he has 1.5 lakhs it doesn't mean he has to spend it all on components... I'm sure he also needs a good computer table/chair and I spent 9k on that alone :P

I suggested 3 HDD's 2* raid 0 and 1 seperate
