NEW RX5600-XT WORTH 20,000 inr ?

I am making a PC for myself and configuring all the parts and their prices it is going well, except the GPU. CPU= Ryzen 5 5500
My father got a seller who is offering 20 thousand inr for a new RX 5600-XT, I thought the prices would be around 15k or less in today's market.
On Amazon, the RX 6600 is also rated 20k.
My father is against buying a used GPU and insists on a new one, but the high price of 5600-XT is not valid for me.

Can any of you correct me on the price of this GPU and advise if there is a GPU that can be exchanging the 5600-XT in my build, like a little less powerful will be good.

Very bad price. 14k below ( New). But do note that this is an old gpu, will have missing features and stuff. We have had 6000, 7000 and now 9000 series.
So this is 4 gen back. Only consider it if budget is very tight.

Also, 6gb will give you trouble in many new games now even at 1080p. Even 8gb gives issues in some games. So this is all at the edge right now.
You can look at 6600/7600 or even 3060 12gb and compare price/perf.
A rough ranking you can get here. Or look at youtube vids from gamersnexus/hardwareunboxed/etc

Also new gpus should be coming from AMD for lower end (9060/xt) and they might be more competitive at msrp.
And someone said that intel B580 might be coming to India too.
They may be above your budget and availability can be an issue too but just listing out options.
It could take a few months after launch for stock to be available at reasonable price.

Absolutely not for a 5600, at that price. Just get a 6600 for 18.7K:

Thank you for clearing my doubts, tracer. I don't have any motive to play games that are very new and heavy I just. want to do my work and play with friends, no big deal for me that the GPU is old.

Thank you for sharing another option, Punk. I will keep your info in mind.

I did a smoll research and i am placing my money on RX 6500-XT, I saw its benchmarks and stuff. it meets my requirement and I won't have any problem gaming with that much V-ram.
Thank you, tracer, punk, and casual, for the replies. I will close the thread this day just in case something else comes up.

That gpu is a pos. Both AMD and Nvidia have basically abandoned lower end price range and used gpus or igpus or old ones fill that space.
That has roughly half ( Looking at rankings link i gave eariler ) the performance of 5600xt with absymal 4gb vram. It will be even slower with pcie 3 or older as they gimped its interface

Unless you are getting it for really low price, say 5k New and have pcie4 motherboard, I don't think that one is worth it.
Hot garbage,
released when AMD and Nvidia were competing to see who can make shittier gpus. I think AMD won with 6500xt and 6400.

If money is an issue, go for 5600xt anyday. I bought that last year for another machine. It works well undervolted for slightly older games.
Its almost as fast as 6600, gets very close to it.
If you can stretch it, then 6600.

6500XT is even shitter, as Tracer mentioned.

Keep in mind that the R5 5500 does NOT support PCIe 4.0. That 6500XT will be further gimped to hell. In that scenario, you'd be better off with a GT 710 lol.

Yeah, 6500xt is barely above what the latest gen of APUs are capable of. Avoid it at all costs. There's no point in buying 3-4 gen old GPUs brand new as they will get outdated and mostly useless before their lifespan is over. 6600xt is the lowest I would recommend anyone to buy in the current market. Even 7600 can be had for around 21-22k. Much better deals.
