Samsung might be readying a new device in the tablet segment. It might be a new addition to Samsung's expanding Galaxy Note family. The Galaxy Note GT-N5100 might be a 7.7" tablet with the Note branding. This means that it will come with a capacitive stylus as well. And Samsung will make sure this small(er) device packs all the fire power (unlike how the iPad Mini was treated). Let's see what the leaked memo tells us.
Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N5100

Samsung already has a 5.3" Note, a 5.5" Note II, probably an inbound 6.1" Note III and a 10.1" Note Tab. Now the family only needs a 7.7" Note Tab to complete the family (and compete with Apple's iPad Mini as well). Let's see what the new device will pack.

The leaked benchmark gives us pretty much most of the needed-to-know internal specifications. Let's have 'em.

- The 1.6 GHz quad core CPU, most probably the same Exynos 4412 Quad from the Galaxy Note II. That CPU is a beast and would easily crush all competition's 7" tablets.

- A (1280*800) resolution display, handily beats the iPad Mini's paltry 1024*728 display.

- Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. Not the latest Android 4.2.1, but not far off either.

Let's hope we see this device soon and with a reasonable price tag to kick if off.
