I have been here since 2013 but havent sold anything yet. I am trying to sell a smartphone and I have some questions. Any help will be appreciated.

A few questions to frequent sellers -

1. Which is the cheapest relaible courier service. I need to ship the phone from Bangalore to Mizoram. Buyer is here on TE itself

2. Can any courier service do pick up from home. Anyway to check the cost of shipment online?

3. How to manage payments. Is it safe if the buyer pays 50% upfront and 50% once tracking details are shared.

4. Is there anything I need to do to prevent in transit damage.

1, There's no totally reliable courier service, it's always down to your luck.

2, Use shiprocket or delhivery direct.

3, Depends on how much you trust the buyer.

4, Pack it very well and take some pics or videos as proof. Some couriers also have insurance but I haven't used them so can't comment on that.
