Hi Guys

I have a maximum budget of 1L and I need to buy a new TV.

I was thinking about 46D6600 until everyone launched 2012 line ups.

Then I noticed lots of people buying plasmas and they are not that big anymore (depth of 30mm on LED vs 50mm on Plasma)

Viewing distance is 6-10 feet and size has to be at least 46".

My main priority are in the following order

1. Picture Quality, viewing angles etc.

2. Warranty and A.S.S.

3. DLNA (+ wifi) and ability to play everything through the same.

I hate pixelation, jittering etc.

Please give me some suggestions. I have been stuck on which TV to choose for a month now.

TIA

Benefits of Plasma Vs LEDs:
  • Much better color reproduction and true black display.
  • Better contrast ratios with higher refresh rate & better response timing, thus zeroing any kind of blur. (true performance)
  • Upto 180° of viewing angle.
  • Cheaper, of course.

But still LEDs have dominated and almost finished the market for plasmas due to following plus points:
  • Very low rate/chance of "burn in" in LEDs as compared to plasmas, thus the higher life cycle. Though plasmas have reduced the failure rate in times, but still lagging by a good margin.
  • Recent improvements in technologies have made LED display neck-to-neck against plasma.
  • Btter HUD (Heads up display (gaming)), which also leads to less burning.
  • Energy efficient plus space saver.

Plasmas are meant for pure movie buffs with some sports action while LED/LCDs are for gamers.

Personally, I'd suggest you to go with LEDs, but it all boils down to your personal priorities and considerations.
