no the visuals are terrible because the art direction sucks. THAT'S NOT A RYU FFS. RYU DOESN'T HAVE BICEPS BIGGER THAN HIS HEAD. they cannot be so bulky and do things like shoryukens. there's a reason Zangief doesn't have any moves like that. very disappointed. and wtf? is that a hadouken? looks more like Tidehunter's gush from dota. i do like the charging up of the shinkuu hadouken though. the stage colours are washed out but we gotta remember that Chun Li's stage has always been pale and bland in comparison to some of the other stages like Ryu's, Dhalsim's or Akuma's. maybe they wanted to stay true to that. won't decide on colours until i see the other stages. (of course, all this can and hopefully will look different as development progresses. like Params said, it's nowhere near release)
on the plus side... i think the fighting system will be completely amazing. the animation is super smooth thanks to 60fps and everything seems very fluid from what i can tell. the super meter charges up for damage dished out and the revenge meter charges up for damage taken. if i'm not mistaken, both meters allow for a unique set of super moves but you can also combine then to get an ultra combo (or something like that).
the guys playing it weren't exactly super pro or may have just been playing to show off the animation of the super moves but i saw Ken canceling one fierce into a shoryuken. i think the interview mentioned that canceling will be easier to pull off thanks to the extra frames. i'm not completely sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. while it definitely will be a lot more fun for new players, i don't want them to nubbify it too much. they've already removed parries from SF3. it has to appeal to the hardcore community as well. street fighter has always been about skill.
