I just wanted to build a quadcore ddr3 based system, not sure if my VX450 would be able to handle the new system. if not , then ll have to sell it and but 600W.please pour in your suggestions about the new config, also suggest any alternatives that would be better and fit into the budget ! :)

the Biostar TA 890GXe will not help in overclocking..if you are taking a 1055t..if you go with 955 the mobo is okay..

get a tx550 or vx550..if you are overclocking

everything else okay

the vx 450 will just do fine ... i suggest to go for te HD 5850 ... the 460 cost more in india and performance is around the HD 5830 mark ... so not worth it.

Yup get the HD5850 unless u are a Nvidia Fanboi :P

Get the Thuban if u are gonna OC it.You can OC 1055T to 4GHz in air cooling as many review sites have successfully done.

The biostar mobo is a microATX and lacks USB 3.0 IINM. Just make sure you can add a Sound card too as big GPU's like the HD5850 render the nearby slots unusable.(as they cover them up)

Also as u plan to O.C i am not sure whether the VX450 can handle a HD5850 and also 1055T at say 3.6-3.8GHz. Wait for more informed members to comment. The VX450 already lacks connectors.(It has only one 6-pin PCI-E connector. But u can use a converter for the other one. Bah. Anyways u got the PSU u should know this).

1. Get a board based on the 890FX chipset or even the 890GX from Gigabyte. Their M.I.T (motherboard intelligent tweaker) settings are the best and simplest I have across by far compared to Asus and aBit. The board should not cost you more than 10k IMO. I think there are cheaper alternatives as well. Some USB 3 based board for about 5.6k - I've seen DarkAngel mention that elsewhere.

2. Get the HD5850 GPU. There was a 5870 being retailed for 17k odd in the market section. Not sure if it is sold already else it makes for an awesome choice.

3. The VX450 with those components could be more like skating on thin ice. It should handle the increased clocks but I'd suggest something in the lines of the TX650 which has 2 pci-e connectors.

4. Ditch the FX5051 option and invest in something better. The Xonar DX and FX50521 does not make sense here. Isn't the FX taking USB as input? How will a sound card help if it is digital audio being sent to the speaker system?

5. Look for better alternatives in the enclosure segment. From Lian Li if possible - don't mistake my words for a fanboi but I'd suggest one if you were to spend that much.

i dnt know much abt sound cards , usb output etc etc ,,, if altec lancing fx5051 is not a good choice coupled with xonardx then whats the alternative option ?????????

i would be needing to upgrade the smps too thn ,,, coolermaster gx550 or tx650 should suffix right ??

and abt the cabinet , which lian li cabinet under the price range of 6k is good ?????? dragonlord series ??

also i would be over clocking , any msi 890 chipset motherboards under 8k or so ?

CM GX series is not that great. I would say the GX550 is equivalent to VX450. So better get the VX550 or TX650.
