Hi,

I am totally new to domain registration.

1. My question is say i register xyz.com but want to host website on my own PC

is it possible.

2. Right now i got ip form isp using DHCP. is it possible to assign dynamic ip to above registered domain ?

Thanks in advance.

1. Yes it is possible.

2. If you have a dynamic ip, register in a service like no-ip.org, create an address, and then redirect your example.com domain to the address

With BSNL/ MTNL you need to then do portforwarding/ NATting on your router so that users can reach ur machine.

Instead of a dynamic IP you can buy a static IP at a reasonable cost by filling a simple form, so you wont need to use 3rd patry services.

ofc you will then need to buy a domain name to link to your new static ip. With the dynamic option you will get a domain like xyz.no-ip.org ...
