I mostly work on creating data pipelines which generate a lot of metrics and features from raw data. In short, generating ready data for Data Scientists to pick and work their AI/ ML models on it. This is one of my many tasks as a Data Engineer

as for someone from non-tech background, can you share what additional things you did to gear up for the job profile?
 
The main skill set includes learning a Database language such as SQL and one coding language preferably Python. There are a lot of stages and steps in this. Would be happy to help further
