I am new to this and want to use classifieds thread to sell used PC components, "do you have xyz credit card" thread. I want to know where to read rules about how payment works between buyer and seller. Is it up to the two persons or any middleman/method to ensure safe sale and purchase from both side? Same for the credit card thread, I cannot send product/money to someone and trust them.

No middleman but directly between the one needing the card and one helping with his card..

You can establish some trust based on a member's marketplace feedback profile. Since you're new it should be you who's not gonna get trusted blindly.
Go through member's profile and see feedback stats. Check their post history on forum, their activeness etc. It all speaks about their commitment to this community and their behavior as a trader.

Do you have xyz credit card thread is completely trust based transaction of members helping out each other. There's no fee involved in it. Mostly how it works is say there's an offer on Chroma on Axis CC. You want to avail it, but don't have Axis CC. You ask me, I agree. You send me the money first, then I order the product for you from my Chroma account. That's it.

On the market section, you have to talk to the person and establish trust as suggested by @enthusiast29. Otherwise you can do face to face deals or agree on part payments. But everything needs to be mutual. However, most sellers will insist on full advance payment and in all the deals that I've done here (20+, both buy and sell), all payments have been before shipping, the highest one being for ₹28,000 paid by me.

Since it is trust based, there must be incidents in which few/many got scammed. Is there a way I can see such posts of people getting scammed?

Never ever felt the need to use somebody's credit card but need some clarification for future ref. as to how it goes when,
  1. The product costs 5k but paying via xyz credit card will give flat 500 bucks discount, So, in such case the buyer has to only transfer 4.5k to the helping member right?
  2. In another scenario, where on 5k item, one gets cashback of 500 bucks but only either at end of the credit billing cycle or post 2 months etc. So in this case as well does the buyer pays 4.5k or full 5k and only upon receiving the cashback the helping guy will transfer back 500 bucks to the buyer?

1) Yes, the buyer will transfer only 4.5k because that is the amount which will be charged to the cc owner.
2) It depends. But imo, all refunds, cashbacks should only be paid after the cc owner has received those. Once I used a citibank card of a fellow member and I returned a few items so there was some refund. He asked me to wait till the refund gets credited back to his account. I waited and he sent me the money after a few days.

I think all these will depend on the individual and should be clarified before the transaction. I personally don't feel comfortable offering my card for use if the cashback is supposed to come after 3 months. It's too much of a mental effort to track it down. I have way too many transactions on my cards to remember specific transactions. I only do it for my close family members or when there is an instant discount.

Was looking forward to the same clarification especially on point 2.
In the first scenario it seems pretty straightforward as the invoice would be generated for 4.5k only.
In the second scenario, very often the terms and conditions of the card usage for cashback are misunderstood or misread which leads to the cashback not being credited to the helper at the end of the said period.
So I think it makes more sense to finalize this with the helper prior to the transactions to avoid confusion later.
