Saw this great looking laptop on flipkart and its not a bad deal for a ~2Kg laptop.
Official demo and hands-on looks promising and laptop feels solid overall.
Its product page quotes a 300nit screen (which I don't doubt as Sammy is the No.1 display manufacturer), 9Hrs optimus-enhanced battery life (it's non replaceable) and aluminium built among other well rounded features. For warranty there's 1yr 'Pick n Drop', says Flipkart, which is cool? (how does Sammy fairs in ASS).
And a surprising draught of reviews.
Alternatives -
Upcoming Dell Inspiron 14Z.
It's Dell. You can tell.
HP DV4-3015TX which seems 'perfect' for 38K (buggy GPU switching, poor LCD and unquoted battery life aside).
A little too perfect perhaps.
*remembers burnt crotch*
