PC Peripherals New UPS

hi guys

Well i need to get to get a new UPS for my system and im not sure if a 1KVA will be enough for my config.

1090T BE OCed
GTX460 Hawk Talon Attack Oced in SLI
2 HDDs
1 DVD Drive

SO is a 1KVA APC enough to give me backup for a minimum of 5 min during gaming? if yes then great otherwise what UPS do i need?

Soumalidon please mention the the type of PSU you have.. because a lot of factor goes into choosing a UPS based on the PSU.

IMHO a 1000 VA UPS can give back up of about 5-10 mins at a load of 500 W taking efficiency of 60 -70 %
If you have moolah & keeping in mind that most of the PSU's are based on Active PFC, go for APC smart UPS else back UPS.

that is why i was asking for his PSU... if u have a active power factor PSU go for Smart UPS..

no it is not necessary some of us are using normal UPS with TX750 but some reported problem.
Also, smart series has better efficiency, a 750 VA UPS can give 3-4 mins backup at full load & it costs around ~7.5 K but better to check the current prices.
