I Bought A New WD 640Gb HDD. The Problem is that hd tune says that hdd is ok but hdd health says that its helth is 0 % and hdd is critical.

please suggest what to do now ??? :S

download the western digital utilities from wdc.com and run the needed tests

+1. Try using the Utilities provided by WD to check. If it fails, go back to the dealer and tell him its a dead disk (its new, right?) Most decent dealers will replace it over the counter itself. Else, just get WD to do a pick and drop RMA
