I'm want to mod my old iBall case.
I want to paint it and want to make left side panel transparent.
Should I able to do that ?
Or should I go to any shop(or go to someone) for this ?
What's the material I need and what gonna be its cost ?
Where can I found those in Kolkata ?
I have a Zebronics Bijli Case too.
If someone make its side paned transparent please share ur experience here.
Thanks!

Hello Revolution!

It's good to see you have taken an interest in modding your case. I can tell you a few places you might want to visit to get some related stuff for your modding:

1. Acrylic sheet for side panel: You can get these in Chandni Market (lane shops). The shops usually sell normal acrylic sheets and a exported quality one which they charge a tad higher for. They will usually cut the sheet as per your requirements so be sure to have the dimensions noted down for the side panel of your cabinet.

2. For painting the case: You can paint the case yourself or take it to a car paint shop near to your location. A place where they paint refrigerators will also paint the case for you.

3. For cutting the side panel so you can fit the acrylic sheet on it you can use a dremel tool or take the side panel to a metal cutting shop where they will cut and fine polish the edges for you.

4. To fit the acrylic sheet on the insides of the side panel (after it's been cut) you will need to use double sided tape (available in most a stationery shops) or use epoxy. You can drill the sheet in but I think using double sided tape is much easier.

5. If you want to use something like a channel on the cut edges of the side panel you can use rubber car window-channels for this. Would be available at car parts shops.

Good luck with your modding! :)

Thanks for info!
Looks like Car Shop can do the job if I go to them with old case and the Acrylic sheet.
I wanna buy a dremel tool with all accessories but I don't it cheap.

You could try to search a cheaper dremel tool in Chandi Market but I doubt you'll get it though. Try on ebay if you can.

Fist get the side panel cut according to your chosen dimensions and the case painted (if you do decide to paint your cabinet that is) and then go and get the acrylic sheet as per your need.

^^ OP has already seen that wonderful mod by @WingZero and I think that's what got him thinking about modding his case! :)
