Ok I came across this thread and this is probably an offshoot of the thread where the buyer received a chinese N8.

Just a thought to be discussed. Would it help if TE had an escrow type service for payments. All the payments then would have to go through that. There will of course be a % charge for this.

Even then what if the buyer claims that he did not receive the product or received a damaged product. How can we verify that? How does ebay handle such cases?

Yes it will be very welcome.
But make it an option which one resorts to when buyer or seller or both have risk issues.
do not make it compulsory... those who have no trust/risk issues need not use it.

In fact, I applied for dealer's account to provide an escrow service for TE will full proof plan. But due to unavailability of VAT id, you dropped my case.
