My friend will be coming to India in the 3rd week of December. I am thinking of going in for the Nexus 4 16GB model which will retail for $350.

Looking at the specs on GSMArena - LG Nexus 4 E960 - Full phone specifications

2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100

It should work without issues here in India as my T-Mobile HD7 supports the above (not all) and works on Vodafone.

What I wanted to know is that the person I am buying this for is mainly interested in taking good photos, playing games and watching videos on the phone. Will this be a good phone for that purpose? I know it is a steal for the price but still wanted to confirm.

I am still debating as to whether I should go for the 8GB or the 16GB since this has non-expandable storage.

The 16GB version will cost almost $400 with taxes and shipping added. It'll be awesome for games and videos, and average for the camera.

^ Yeah, I am also going through the various sample pics in each review to gauge how good/bad the camera really is.

Keep in mind that the storage space available is not going to be the same as what is mentioned. My 16GB Galaxy S2 (without additional microSD) shows 1.97 GB Device Memory and 11.50 GB USB Storage which comes to roughly 13.5GB out of the advertised 16GB.

As you mentioned watching videos as one of the main usages, increased storage is always worth it. Get the 16GB one.

If some one buys it online from texas or some place in USA ,is there any shipping charges locally within USA ? .If yes how much are the shipping charges ?
