Nexus One Settings for Airtel MMS

Hello Guys,

Can anyone help me setup MMS on a Google Nexus One on Airtel. State does not matter, just the settings do. I have the state settings as GPRS is working perfectly.

So, anyone who is able to use MMS settings can help me with the APN settings? Please don't search the internet and post answers here. I can do it myself and indeed, I have all the right settings too. But it just won't work.

I will request, only if you are using an Airtel number (anywhere in India) and are able to use MMS on Nexus One, please post how you setup your MMS. Other information like seperate APN settings of the GPRS will also help.

Thanks & Regards,

Justin.

EDIT: So, nobody who is using a N1 with Airtel has able to setup MMS on this forum . :(

Found the settings a long back. Posting here for anybody who wants to use MMS with GPRS without problems. Here are the APNs:

1. GPRS

Name: Airtel GPRS (Any name will do)

APN: airtelgprs.com

Server: *

MMSC: http://100.1.201.171:10021/mmsc

MMS Proxy: 100.1.201.172

MMS Port: 8799

MCC: 404 (Will be different for states other than Delhi)

MNC: 10 (Will be different for states other than Delhi)

APN type: default (type default, this is important, see below)

2. MMS

Name: Airtel MMS (Any name will do)

APN: airtelmms.com

Proxy: 100.1.201.172

Port: 8799

Server: *

MMSC: http://100.1.201.171:10021/mmsc

MMS Proxy: 100.1.201.172

MMS Port: 8799

MCC: 404 (Will be different for states other than Delhi)

MNC: 10 (Will be different for states other than Delhi)

APN type: mms (type mms, this is important, see below)

See the APN type field. It is very important. Even I had to search a lot to find out the real problem. Leaving it empty for GPRS APN will never set your MMS properly. It will cause problems. Just type "default" in GPRS and "mms" in MMS (both small letters) and both will work perfectly.

Hope this helps.
