Am confused between getting a Samsung Nexus S(imported) or an Indian Desire HD under warranty. Both are priced evenly and hence the confusion.

The advantage with Nexus is obviously direct support from Google and great SAMOLED screen(i think the Indian version has only SLCD) whereas the DHD has very low battery life and OK screen quality but noticeably bigger screen.

Thanx in advance for any sort of help :) Also, I want the phone asap and would consider the next gen ones when they arrive.

The DHD is a better bet. Warranty and the awesome HTC Sense UI.

Battery life has been an issue for almost all phones in that category. A monster processor and screen doesn't help n getting great battery life.

But that shouldn't stop you from getting the DHD. It can easily give you atleast 1.5 days of battery life on a single charge with moderate usage.

LG Optimus 2X launched in India...Go for dual core 2X power...Rs. 30K

30k for a LG phone?? Is it really worth it?? Why not the SE Xperia Play or Arc then??

How much do you think the resale value of DHD will be once dual cores come out?
Really, why speculate about the resale value even before buying the phone?? :P

In any case, I think the resale value of a HTC phone will be higher than a LG phone.

Why the hate towards LG? Is their UI so bad? After all, its an android...should not differ much. I can agree on one thing though-Indian market won't favour a mobile made by LG:)

That's the reason for my hate... :P

LG settled itself as a brand making Washing Machines and Refrigerators here in India. I wouldn't want a phone from LG just as I wouldn't like to have a car made by Hero Honda!!

Add to that the resale value and the equation is completely not in LG's favour. But an O1 today and try to sell it in the open market tomorrow and one is bound to get ~ 50-60% only.

And in any case, people who have used some initial LG phones (Reliance ones) know that they were pathetic with battery issues from day one. :@

The LG Optimus 2X is all plasticky, and drab right from the get go. It has nothing original about it.

Like I said previously, go for the DHD with warranty. Resale value of HTC phones is second only to iPhones.
