Nope.
Its not availalble in India.
Good news for Intel Users anyways :).

specifically for u gf....wanna know how exactly did u reach nearly 3.8
see 3.3 to 3.5 is the max without your room ac blower directly infront...for the D820 anyways..

Now i'm not challenging u (:bleh: like u do me and my ownerships) but wanna know cause i may be getting the same cpu...

Guys.... Honestly who cares if they come out for Intel except DELL. I think 9xx series is good (still HOT n Hungry fo Powa) but AMD'sX2 really shines. I think anyone, if not in love with Intel will agree.

Well we all agree AMD rules here, but what's the harm in talking intel?? They did bring X86 around, correct me if I'm wrong...

Besides its not easy being no. 1 and if AMD is as good as they are its cause they had someone up there to emulate.. :P

That being said the 900 series is techno wise something new that was badly needed...

A question... I've seen 975 has an 8 pin CPU power socket, what about using older 4 pin CPU's on it??

See I told firslty, it looks good. Abt your question, its EPS12 or something... I dont remember it well. I think you can use your 4 pin 12v connector from PSU, just like 20/24 pin.

there is nothing new except 65nm fab process and tweaked Mem Ctrlr. Its still NetBurst based and it still consumes same amount of Powa, so much for being up there in No 1 SPOT.

Intel CPU + nVidia chipset = rubbish overclocking. I say that from experience.

AMD may be on top as far as performance goes, but wait 8 more months and the tables will be turned.

I was just kidding about that mate. I did put a j/k after the comment :bleh:...

Anyways.

Yea normally my rooms AC is on, but not blowing at my PC. Its far away actually, plus the Xaser III helps a lot :ohyeah: :)...

I have to apply Thermal Grease every month though. Its as if the Prescott, well Smithfield :/... just Burns it off gradually.

Its not tht bad either...check this out, they cranked up a P4 3.73 ghz EE to 4.2 ghz stable on an nforce4 sli based Asus P5ND2-SLI Delux and the temps around 62 c tht too on stock cooling..obviously, you can always give the the brilliant mobo and the corsair rams some credit but it goes on to prove tht nforce4 + intel P4 can be oced very well...
but the dual core p4 840 3.2ghz clocked a dismal 3.52 ghz on the same mobo and tht too at 70c..

WTF??? burns away the grease:S .....??? Sh1t n hell...what about @ 2.8 stock....See I'll be using a hyper 48...what should I look out for?

^^ You will not have to change the grease if you use the original HSF unit coming in the intel package. The grease comes applied to the hsf already. IT only needs to be replaced when you take the HSF out for some reason. Intel wud be screwed if the grease had to be replaced every now n then...

Moreover, since you intend to use it at stock speeds, you will have no problems with the grease...

Cool Thanks...by grease on the HSF u mean a thermal pad like the northwood and prescott series of 478 had right??

Is the default HSF on the D820 any diffi from the 660?? moot point since i'll be using hyper 48 anyways..but just for info sake??

Yeh, the thermal pad tht comes attached to the back of the original heat sink units..
Also, going by the looks, the hsf units of the 660 and D820 seem to be same..:)
