NFS Carbon PC Demo is OUT!!!

Hey Guys,

Any news on the demo?? :huh: :huh:
The game is releasing on 1 Niv so the demo should have been out by now... should it not????
 
yup, listed on the site, dont think EA will release a demo before the official lauch, coz from the looks of it its a exact clone of nfs mw :P
 
it happened with NFS MW as well , the demo came out a short while before the game was out . expect the same with carbon . has the muscle cars . so it should be good .

for underground 1 & nfs mw the demo came many days b4 the game was released.
 
i played alot of nfs carbon at wcg2006 @ the xbox360 counter there along with some other games (splinter cell double agent , dead or alive xtreme 2 , gears of war (if you have an x360 you MUST buy this game. unreal 3 engine, kickass gfx awesome gameplay), halo 2 for pc, flight sim x for pc, etc). they had pro evo soccer 6 too but i wasnt interested. the place wasnt too crowded so i got to know some stuff about nfs carbon.

1. nice intro movie and career game movies. start the game and youre allowed to choose from a muscle car sports car or an exotic car (or something.. written in italian but thats what i understood). muscle cars have great acceleration but turn like shit and have a crappy top speed. the sports cars and exotic cars are similar to each other in terms of performance and handling.
2. i didnt get to know about auto sculpting because you have to progress through the career mode to use it and i didnt.
3. the cars handle a bit more lazily than nfs mw. so if you want to make a hard left youll have to turn a bit in advance to do it right. its pretty easy to get used to and its fun after sometime but the game might feel slow.
4. there are some weird wind effects on the car that didnt look so good. once you start going faster the motion blur increases and you have air streams on the edges of the car that look pretty dumb.
5. the graphics are great. but no car damage... again.
6. the drift mode is back ! its awesome too. youre allowed to use nitro with your drifts and i think its been infulenced by fast and the furious tokyo drift because you have to drift on edges of cliffs and stuff and if you break the cliff fence while drifting you get more points. the drift mode doesnt feel dull at all and i really enjoyed myself drifting all over the place. it might feel a bit exaggerated as you drift out of corners but its still lots of fun.
7. the girls are back ! finally. girls do the 3-2-1 thing now just like good ol nfs ug2.
8. now you can race with upto 7 opponents in single race mode. so thats 7 modified cars racing around instead of just 3. its more fun. kinda like the url mode in nfs ug2 in the city streets.
9. the game version that i played didnt have car setups and no dyno tuning.
 
I think The PC version should be slightly different from graphics perspective...I remember playing NFSMW demo in PS2 ...was a lot different then the actuakl release....

From what u day....it looks promishing

I doubt that, there was a lot of difference between the PS2 graphics & high end PC graphics when MW was released, whereas not much difference between Xbox 360 & PC right now. The graphics must be very much similar. Looks like the demo should be out by 28th or 30th...from wtever I've read. The game looks good enough from wtever the reviews had to say, can't hardly wait for the full version to be out.
 
Graphically, the game looks pretty good. Then again, we don't know what MW would've looked like at night so there's really no game to use as reference from the NFS series itself.

ugly graphics...not bad for some other game...but this game really doesn't put my 7900gt to work...expected much much better

The default setting is very Low....u got u set it.... It does not automatically detect as other games (Prabably when the actual games release the graphics woukld be set )

IMHO....the graphics are far far better than NFS MW.....
Though the gameplay is not as addictive as Most wanted.... U just don't get the same rush whicle racing as u got when being chased by 25 cars:)
