I just started playing NFS-MW today on my pc and have some doubts .. I am uploading a pic and seeing that please clarify the following :



1. What is the green bar on the top centre of the screen meant for ?? sometimes it displays an arrow and stuff but i cant understand what is it meant for ?

2. In the lower left of the screen just above the mini map there is a "fire" kind of symbol with "x1" written next to it ? what is that symbol for and what is it trying to show me when its flashing like in the pic ??

3. In the lower right of the screen above the speedometer between 5 and 6 and above them there is another wristwatch kind of symbol with a "L" written inside it ... what is this one for ??

Do help me out.Thanks in advance.
 
1. The green bar is the police radar. When it lights up then there's a cop nearby and in the direction of the arrow.

2. The fire sign is your wanted level. The higher your wanted level, the more the cops will chase you with all their resources. SUVs, Helicopters, Supercharged sports police cars, you name it and they'll throw it at you. You can get a maximum wanted level of 6. The fire sign comes up when you're about to rise to the next wanted level.

3. The L Timer is your slow-motion meter. You can only use the slow-motion effect for a short period of time.

Incidentally, why does the game look so crappy on your X850?
 
dont know why is it looking crappy .. i find it kinda dark ...and i am playing at 1024*768 at max settings .. it looked the same to me on my frnds 7800GTX too .. and this is just a random screenie. btw how do u activate slow motion ??

it will also show up when u have to complete a photo ticket in milestone events ........it will show the direction and distance by blibnking :)
 
Mohit just keep playing the game for another two hours and you will know everything.... I hope you are going through the carrer mode :)...
 
Discovering , uderstanding featurs of the game is part of the game itslef :)

and btw, i dont think the game looks all that crappy, do you have over-bright(or something similar) enabled?
