NFS:MW not running well on my system !!!!

hey gaming freaks! I got problem running NFS most wanted on my system...

at 640 480 and all eye candy off it runs ok.....

at 800 600 the game stutters every 10 seconds, or so as to say skips frames......

My laptop is

C2d 1.5 Ghz
2 Gb ram
Vista premium 32
8400 gs with 128 discrete and 767 mb shared( if anyone knows how to change it do tell me, it is not there in BIOS or memory settings,,,,)
forceware 101.85
anyway since my system meets all the requirements, what's the problem I am facing... any help appreciated....

sucha nice game was set to displace porsche unleashed as my fav nfs game... well not anymore)

I am able to run hl2 at medium settings and mafia at high settings if that helps...

if its of vista .maybe u can try running in it backward compatibility mode.

like theres an option in vista to run it in Windows XP mode..or something..i dont remember actually

vista has many buf report and need more ram

u can stick u xp

yep, I tried runnin it in xp sp2 compat mode, but still the performance is same...

I hate to let vista go! it is so good..
