NFS prostreet crashes

dudes...has anyone else had this problem?
whenever i start the game the menus and all come on fine...
when i select a race to start and the loading shit comes....the game crashes to windows with a send error report msg....
its happening with ut3 too so i think its related :D
^^both games were running fine in the morning and started misbehaving in the afternoon :(

i found this too but there is no solution:

i think its some other software causing a conflict with punkbuster or sumthing

i hav the following:
e2140@3ghz
biostar p35
gigabyte 8600gt
1gb ddr2 800mhz

I agree.... Uninstall it, break the DVD (if you have bought it) into a billion pieces. Or burn it. Or play with your dog using it as a frisbee.

All of this is more enjoyable than the game.

For UT3, what you can try is to backup the saved game files and reinstall. Or, do a system restore. did you install any new application recently ?
 
I would reinstall the game. If you don't play online not installing Punkbuster is a good option (I don't accept the license agreement, that seems to do it).

Starting a new Alias and a new career also may work, delete the Pro Street folder from 'My documents'.

Far as the game goes, I think it's terrific. You have to make things a little harder for yourself. Switching off all assists and switching to King mode helps, the auto-assist is really unpredictable. Then try and take on some of the really tough stuff with wimpy little cars (Like racing Ryo with a Lotus Elise, that's fun!). For the first few hours it's boring stiff as the AI is easy to beat. even at higher levels the AI is easy if you got the right car.

I'm up to 4.4 million in cash with the game at 100%, and have not bought a single car or performance part (just what the game gave). And I have 12 cars in the Garage, mostly at level 2 or 3. And I am going at it once again. I found it lame in Racer mode, but King mode rocks.

I only had some issues drifting, but that was fixed once I converted my free 350Z to the drift car. Then beating Ryo was easy-peasy.

so don't play the game in afternoon... play it in morning :bleh:

jokes apart... try updating the drivers of the GPU and alsotry a fresh install of the game... don't install punkbuster if u don't play online...

btw does neone wanna play online wid me?? :)
 
as some others suggested , use the dvd as a frisbee, or as something to draw circles with , or maybe on ur bike if u own one,...no leave that one out , u'll embarass urselves .... oh who m i kidding , mail it back to EA with a heppy new year and keep this #r%p for urselves note......

How abt gifting it to some Autowallah ? Wish him a happy new year and gift it to him. They hang it below their rear view mirrors.
 
yep......aint that bad......its worse....:).....sry , but had huge expectations from it , which it blew away in its crappy smoke........
 
i donno why EA keeps on releasing NFS each year. They should overhaul the game completely.

If u manage to play Burnout racing series ever u'll never play NFS again, but sadly it's only on consoles.
 
i had the exact same problem when i started playing nfs pro street. for me it had to do with my processors overclocking. my opteron (stock - 1.8 ghz) was clocked at 2.8 ghz when the crashing happened but when i underclocked to 2.7 ghz everything was fine and the game didnt crash after the menus anymore.
 
Yeap Friends Problem is there, But...............
Here is the solution.............

Install Game without Punkbuster.........
Update latest Graphics card drivers i.e 163.XX...... Enjoy.

One more thing its really bad game!
