Hi to all,

just want to give some important info for cheap internet scheme that tata is providing :hap2: on its walky phone!!!!

here is the plan
monthly rental Rs-350/-
120 rs calls free every month
50 sms free every month
AND BEST 10PM-2-6AM FREE INTERNET ACCESS perfect timing for me
in day time they charge u 40paise per minute
USING THIS FOR one month now and having a gr8 time!!!!
Download speeds on torrents = 15-18KB
Download speeds on P2P appz& http = 15=20KB
upload speed on torrent= same as download
Download speeds on P2P appz& http= not checked still

i m not an agent of tata:P :tongue: i just thought that someone might find it useful.
 
ya man for 350/- rs its a steal plus u get to make calls and night unlimited from 10-6am thats even better than MTNL NU only the speed is 115kbps
 
My friends using the same connection say that they have not seen more than 8 KBps, can anybody else using the internet through TATA indicom tell us what are the speeds they are getting, i wanna change my service provider asap.
 
Got poor reviews abt the TATA network & plan from other quarters. So Not sure abt its Universal trackrecord!
 
I had been using TATA for a few days when Sify was down....

My observations were this...

1)If u use the TATA dialer there are some coonection issues..U have to try 3-4 times at peak hours to get logged in....If u use the dialer in network connection page in XP evrything goes fine...(basically the same thing but without a pop-up everytime u log-in)

2)The speeds are good....Used to get 115 kbps most of the time....

3)There were drops in speed sometimes but most of the time it was pretty good...

I wouldn't suggest to take the plan as permanant package...Just take it as a backup plan....But again try it out in your own area first...There is a default plan activated on the phone...Try that...if it works fine go for the night plan....
 
I m using USB cable so get speeds upto 156kbps and my phone is LG LSP350

if ur using serial cable u will get speeds of 115kbps only!

@Deathbe*:that is the server ip of a CSS server in Singapore...so this is NOT good for sg gamerz.....lol
