Nikon coolpix N90 or Panasonic FZ35?

Hi Friends,

I need your inputs one of my friend is coming from US, i want to get a digital camera with good optical zoom.

I have found Panasonic Lumix FZ 35 and Nikon Coolpix N90.

Can you suggest which one to go with? Also a good site where i can check prices. I have checked this in Deals2buy.com (US) site.

Will i be getting servicing for Panasonic cameras if i face any problem in future? As there are no sales of these camera in india yet?

Amazon.com is your best price comparison website. They really do offer the cheapest prices.

Go for FZ35 you won't be disappointed.

Anything imported from US will have no warranty anyway, and you'll have to get any repairs or servicing done from your own pocket. If warranty is an issue then go for local grey market, and the seller will provide some warranty from their side.
 
I am not worried about the warranty rather will there be people to repair the camera. It should become like no one will get it repaired in India and i have to send it back to US.

So will there be people who will repair the product if it breaks down (i am ready to pay).

Thanks for the reply, i checked in Ebay.in the camera is priced at 18990 to 20,000 with some accessories. Can any one tell me who is the best seller if i want to buy it from ebay.in?
 
Where are you located? You might want to look in the local grey market for a good bargain. I know for sure that people have bought it for cheaper in Bangalore as compared to Delhi.

On ebay.in search for the seller called "solardigitalcam". He is based in Palika Bazaar, New Delhi and gives a better deal in person that online.

duno who is the best seller but certainly stay away from kk_camerazone! He has quite a lot threads dedicated here on TE :)

I am from Bangalore, buying a grey piece at around 18k without warranty is risk. So thought of looking at Ebay.in

I will go some time this weekend to check the price at near by grey market.
